Synopsis – THE SILENCING

   In the quiet hours before dawn, a routine radio check fractures into something far more dangerous. What begins as faint interference quickly escalates into a coordinated, intelligent disruption—an unseen jammer hijacking public GMRS frequencies, mimicking voices, corrupting transmissions, and turning trusted communication into chaos.

As operators across Southern California struggle to make sense of the interference, panic spreads. Emergency traffic is blocked, conversations are twisted, and a growing pattern suggests this is no accident—it’s deliberate, methodical, and evolving.

At the center of it all is a meticulous observer: a seasoned radio operator who refuses to go silent. Armed with disciplined logging, time-stamped evidence, and an unshakable understanding of the airwaves, they begin documenting every anomaly—every spike, every mimic, every breach. What others hear as noise, they recognize as a signature.

Meanwhile, a small group of dedicated operators bands together under increasing pressure. Guided by a veteran repeater owner who understands both the technical and human stakes, they attempt to maintain order, protect the network, and keep communication alive—even as trust in the airwaves begins to collapse.

As the jammer grows bolder—intercepting tactical channels, imitating identities, and exploiting weaknesses—the line between signal and deception blurs. The group realizes they are no longer just dealing with interference… they are being studied.
