Southern California – March 24, 2026 — Malakai Studios, LLC has officially announced an open casting call for its upcoming feature film, “THE SILENCING,” a gripping psychological thriller scheduled for release in October 2028.

Centered on the collapse of communication systems and the unseen forces that disrupt them, THE SILENCING explores the human response to chaos when an unidentified jammer hijacks a public radio frequency. As everyday communication breaks down, a small group of operators refuses to go silent—while one meticulous observer begins documenting everything, turning evidence into a powerful tool.

The production is currently seeking talent for multiple roles, including lead, supporting, and background performers, with a strong emphasis on grounded, character-driven performances.

Malakai Studios is casting:

Filming will take place in Southern California, with production designed for both feature film distribution and streaming platforms, including planned availability on Roku-based services.

To ensure a professional and performance-driven selection, Malakai Studios will implement a structured casting process:

1. Online Submission – Headshot, résumé, demo reel (if available), and self-tape
2. Live Virtual Callback – Online audition with direction and adjustments
3. In-Person Screen Test – On-camera evaluation with production team
4. Final Table Read – Cast integration and chemistry evaluation
5. Wardrobe & Costume Fitting – Final preparation for selected actors

Final casting decisions will be made following the table read stage.
